"Knitting Around Downtown"
on the Detroit People Mover
Every
Tuesday evening April ?? (as soon as weather permits) through October
30
City Knits and The Detroit Transportation Corporation are pleased
to announce "Knitting Around Downtown" on the Detroit
People Mover. Join fellow knitters and crocheters as we knit our
community together.
We will gather every week in the first car of
the "FOX 2" train. Start time is around 6 pm, and you
can board at any station - just make sure that you find us on the "FOX
2" train (there are 4 or 5 trains running at any time). Look
for the Kniting Around Downtown signs in the car window. No need
to worry if you can't be there right at 6. Come when you can and
stay as long as you want. Start-up help for beginners and tech
support will be available. Come help make this endeavor a success.
A
trip on the People Mover is only fifty cents. Drop by the Guardian
location, and City Knits will treat you to a token for your first
Tuesday evening ride. City Knits will also be a vendor of DPM tokens.
City
Knits in the Guardian is most convenient to the Financial District
Station, so if you need supplies, you can stop by the shop before
you board. We'll plan to knit or crochet until 8 o'clock or so, and
those who are interested will pick an eatery near a stop and continue
the socializing.
